Dorothy Maxine Long's Obituary
Dorothy M. Long, born In Geddes, South Dakota 9/22/1925, passed peacefully in Milwaukie, Oregon on 6/30/2020 at the age of 94.
Dorothy was married to Gerald (Jerry) A. Long (deceased). They had two daughters, Sondra Tackett (deceased) and Linda Wilken. Dorothy's family was her pride and joy, having 5 granddaughters, 14 great grandchildren, and 4 great great grandchildren.
Dorothy was a teacher during the war and then a business owner. Dorothy and Jerry belonged to the Crazy 8's Square Dance club and RV club, enjoying many years together.
There will be an open viewing at Holman-Hankins-Bowker & Waud in Oregon City on July 7 (noon to 4:30) and July 8 (9 a.m. to 10 a.m.). Private ceremony at Willamette Memorial Cemetery will follow. In memory, donations may be directed to St. Marks Lutheran Church, Portland, Oregon.
