Dora "Lucille" (Tschantz) StrobelSept. 30, 1924 - Oct. 5, 2013Lucille Strobel, 89 of Gladstone, passed away on Saturday after battling Alzheimer's Disease. She was born, raised, and graduated from high school in Silverton where she worked as a secretary until 1946 when she married the love of her life, Leonard. They eventually settled in Gladstone where they raised six children. Lucille was a member of the Elks Ladies' Auxiliary, enjoyed bowling and pinochle, and was a lifelong volunteer with St. John the Apostle Catholic Church, Red Cross, Clackamas County, and Gladstone Senior Center. She was preceded in death by daughter Kathryn and husband Leonard. She is survived by five children: Linda, David (Trish), Patricia (Roger), Annette, and Thomas; 10 grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association. Memorial mass to be held at 11am Saturday, Oct. 12 at St. John's in Oregon City.
