Donald Lyle Rider's Obituary
Donald Lyle Rider passed away peacefully on November 30th, 2025. Don was born in Oregon City, March 9, 1933 to dairy farmers, Milton and Gladys Rider. Don married Doris Horner in 1953. They purchased Arts Cafe in Oregon City in 1960. They also owned Riders Restaurant and Don’s Dugout. Don was an active member of the Rotary club and Elks club. Don and Doris raised their family on 25 acres in Beavercreek where he built their dream home and was able to pursue his love of farming. During their retirement they spent a lot of time on their lot on the Nehalem River, fishing for Salmon.
Don is predeceased by his parents, Milton Rider and Gladys Rider and his granddaughter, Lisa Bayha, he is survived by his wife of 72 years, Doris Rider, Daughters Debbie Jones, Tammy Weaver and Son, Steve Rider. 2 Grandchildern, Craig Jones, and Jeremy Weaver, 7 Great Grandchildren, Justin Jones, Hailey Hamilton, Trevor Jones, Wyatt Jones, Lindsey Love, Lauryn Gallagher, and Allison Bayha, and 8 Great, Great Grandchilden, Luke Gallagher, Henry Gallagher, Mason Gallagher, MacKenzie Gallagher, Emma Love, Ryan Love, Jax Hamilton and Tatum Hamilton.
Don was the pillar of our family and we will greatly miss him.
