Donald H. MyersMay 2, 1930 - December 30, 2014Don was born in Oregon City to Leonard and Genevieve (Holmes) Myers. He spent his youth in the Clackamas Heights area or Oregon City and attended Park Place School. At 17, Don met and fell in love with the love of his life Joyce Bonn. They were married in 1947. Don worked for Crown Zellerbach and moved his family to West Linn in 1965 while building the family home across the street from the West Linn High school. Don was held in high esteem in the community and served the West Linn City Council for 5 years.Don was a very knowledgeable, outspoken and charming man; a man's man. He had a wonderful sense of humor to complement his beautiful singing voice. He was often heard whistling with the grace of a bird. Don was a person you could always count on to be there for you for anything. Don is preceded in death by his daughter Donna and son Daniel. He is survived by his wife Joyce, son Steven and daughter Sharon Adams, one grandson and three granddaughters and eight great grandchildren.Services will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2015 at 11:00AM at Holman-Hankins-Bowker & Waud. Committal will follow at St. John's cemetery.
