It is with great sadness that we have learned of the passing of our beloved Denise. We had come to expect that she would pick herself up, dust off from her current battle and soldier on in spite of challenges. That she could not this one last time is far from the holiday message that we had hoped to receive. We will miss her smile; her laugh; her dimples; but mostly her zest for life. She would often tell us that she did not expect to live a long or normal life but that she would live what she had on her own terms. There is perhaps a lesson in courage that we could learn from how she approached what we all will ultimately face and that is to accept we will occupy this earth for only a relatively short time. While hers was shorter than it should have been, she nonetheless lit a candle in the lives of all those she touched that will burn brightly now that she is gone. We know that she has now joined her great grandmother Rose, grandmother Kathleen and mother Darleen in watching over us all. Good by - for now - from the Eastern Claymier's - Bob, Linda, Kim, Kris, Ken and all of our families.
