David George Rickenbach's Obituary
David George Rickenbach, 68, of Oregon City, passed away Wednesday, April 17, 2013. He was born to the late William and Ruby Rickenbach, November 7, 1944; in Afton, WY David graduated from Kent Meridian High School in 1963 and received a BS in Zoology from Brigham Young University in 1970. He married Ingra Marie (Rinearson) Rickenbach in 1984, and they lived together in Oregon City, OR for 28 years.David was a medical technologist in Jacksonville, FL; Milwaukee, OR; Clackamas, OR; and Portland OR. He was passionate about health and spent a great deal of time walking. David always wanted to make sure he was doing something he could do well and that was of value. When David was no longer working, he served as a lunch buddy and classroom volunteer at McLoughlin Grade School in Oregon City, a Citizen Involvement Council representative for the South End Neighborhood in Oregon City, a Meals on Wheels deliverer, and an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He also enjoyed singing in the Sing We Now choir in the fall of 2012.He is survived by his wife, Ingra Marie (Rinearson) Rickenbach; daughter, Erica Rickenbach Driscoll (Spencer Devin Driscoll) of Orem, UT; grandchildren, Spencer "Landon" Driscoll and Reagan Elise Driscoll of Orem, UT; brothers, John Rickenbach of Astoria, OR, Fred Rickenbach of North Bend, OR, William "Bill" Rickenbach of Dallas, OR; sisters, Ann Danzig of Eagle Mountain, UT and Verna DuPaix of Salt Lake City, UT; and many nieces and nephews who love him dearly.In lieu of flowers, please make donations to: Alzheimer's Association, www.alz.org, in memory of David Rickenbach or mail to: Alzheimer's Association, P.O. He will later be laid to rest at the Mountain View Cemetery in Oregon City, OR.
