David Michael McDaniel Sr.'s Obituary
David Michael McDaniel Sr., beloved husband and father, passed away at the age of 80 on December 11, 2022 in Oregon City, OR. Born to Ben and Jeanne McDaniel on April 18, 1942 in San Francisco, CA. As a young man, David served in the US Navy. While stationed in Hawaii, he met his wife, Doris. They remained together for 58 1/2 years.
David worked as a Visual Dimensional Inspector for Precision Castparts for 20 years. He was an active golfer and participated in the annual Hood to Coast walking event for many years. He was also an award-winning power lifter. David loved camping, traveling, the beach and spending time with family and friends. He had an infectious smile and a laugh that could be heard down the block.
David is survived by his wife Doris McDaniel, their three children Cheryl Rufer and husband Emil, David McDaniel Jr. and wife Debbie, and Debbie Reilly and partner Bryon, four grand-children Rebecca, Travis, Jillian and Natalie, six great-grandchildren Haidyn, Elijah, Lorelei, Benson, Kiara and Jordon, as well as his sister Sandy Bosserman, brother Jerry Woolledge.
A memorial service will be held on January 9, 2023 at 1:15 pm, at Willamette National Cemetery.
