David W Hopkins' Obituary
David W. Hopkins, beloved husband and uncle, passed away on April 19, 2015. He is survived by his wife and best friend Gretchen and his brothers, Thomas (Miyuki), Jonathan (Kathy), James (Janice), and a large multi generational family.
David's entrepreneurial spirit took him to the Oregon Coast to run a security alarm company and then an independent telephone equipment company. Returning to Portland to be closer to family and friends, he worked for Beavercreek Telephone as a Telecommunications Technician.
His careful, considerate nature made him an individual with an extraordinary awareness of his surroundings. Combined with his friendly, caring and outgoing personality, he was truly a genuine friend, to countless people, like no other.
A memorial celebration of life service will be held at 1 pm Friday April 24th at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Oregon City. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be given to St. Paul's or to the charity of your choice.
