Darlene Anne Rego's Obituary
In Loving Memory Darlene Anne Rego, age 86, went home to Heaven on February 26, 2024. She grew up in Lagrange, Illinois, and attended Lyons Township High School where she met her loving husband, Donald. They raised their 4 children in Bolingbrook, Illinois. Darlene loved gardening, and loved ‘catching’ fish more than fishing. She loved dogs, thrift store shopping and baking! She was a volunteer at the Village of Progress and Volunteer of the Year. She was a writer of several stories and recently wrote Full Circle, a book about her life. Above all else, she loved Jesus and it is her hope that all come to accept Him as their Savior as she did. Darlene was preceded in death by her parents Robert and Anne Flatt from LaGrange, IL. Survived by her husband Donald, their children, Deborah Reynolds, Donna Dawson and husband Tom Richardson, Dawn Schaibley, Donald Rego and wife Karyn, 15 grandkids and 24 great grandkids, Sister Barbara Bellovary and husband Jerry, as well as many Cousins, Nieces and Nephews. Visitation at Holman-Hankins-Bowker & Waud in Oregon City, OR on Thursday, March 7 from 12-4 p.m. Burial services will be at Mountain View Cemetery in Oregon City, OR on March 8 at 11:00 a.m. Celebration of Life to follow at Oregon City Christian Church at 12:00. Lunch will be provided. In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Village of Progress 710 South 13th Street, Oregon, Illinois 61061.
