CYNTHIA (CINDY) LEE THOMPSON BILLUPS
BORN AUGUST 22, 1949 PASSED SEPTEMBER 21, 2023
Cindy has been reunited with her loving husband in the house of our Savior, Jesus Christ joining with her parents, along with her daughter Julie, and another sister who died at birth.
Cindy was born in Port Angeles, Washington to James and Helen Thompson. The family subsequently relocated to the Portland, Oregon area in 1953 while the children were young. Cindy graduated from Oregon City High School, and matriculated to Oregon State University where she received a bachelor’s degree and worked in dental hygiene for over 50 years.
She married Mike Billups on August 29th,1970 in Portland Oregon. Mike was a Certified Public Account. Together they raised a son and a daughter after losing a daughter to health issues at age 11.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James P. Thompson and Helen Ramona (Ross) Thompson. James passed away in 1995 and Helen passed away in 2017. She is survived by her sister Teresa Elaine Stockton, and her son Shane Michael Billups and daughter Ashley Renee Billups. She is also survived by her loving dog Bella, who misses her doggy mom. She was a doggy mom many times over the years.
Cindy spent many happy years on the water, boating, water skiing, yachting, swimming and being the CAPTAIN of the boat. Some of her favorite times was going on cruises. The entire family took a cruise through the Panama Canal just before her father’s passing.
