Carol Donovan Richards' Obituary
Carol Donovan Richards
Feb 23 1943 – Dec 17 2024
Beloved Wife, Mother, and Grandmother, Carol was born in Walla Walla, WA to John and Edna Donovan. She was truly the engine in her family, with a perpetual To-Do list that supplied the tasks she piled through in service to her family, which was her main joy in this life. She even arranged to leave this world to join her beloved husband Glen and her precocious son Patrick just in time for Christmas, which no doubt made the festivities up there much better organized than before. She is survived by her son Michael and her daughter Jacki and her husband, David, her daughter in-law Marcie and her husband Colton, her ‘adopted’ daughter Jacki Gallo and family, her delightful granddaughters Ryleigh, Jaden, Sammy, and Jordyn, and her siblings Sharon (Colley), Mike Donovan, and Tom Donovan.
Being the first girl in her family to attend university, she achieved a teaching degree at University of Portland, and kept it current ‘just in case’ until the year 2000, “just in case”. She also, in the course of her studies, attained a minor in Logic, which kept her children perpetually on their heels when trying to talk her into almost ANYthing.
She and Glen enjoyed travel and socializing with their truly great lifelong friends Keith and Linda Wilson, Bob and Mary Jane Smith, and Brad and Tam Mannelin, with many adventures arising from the lot of them.
Service to be held Saturday February 1st, at St. Philip Benizi Catholic Church in Redland OR. For details or any questions, please send a text to Mike at 971 998 9103, and he will ring you back at his earliest chance.
