Carol Jean Hicks' Obituary
Carol Jean Hicks born Carol Jean Knoetzel, 3/21/1938 was born in Oregon City, Oregon. She lived with her husband Kenneth Hicks in Donald, Oregon until her passing on 10/14/2022 with her children and friends by her side.
Carol grew up in West Linn, Oregon where her Grand Father homesteaded. She was then raised in Sellwood, Oregon where she graduated from Cleveland High School. She married in Portland Oregon and raised her children in Clackamas, always longing to be at the Oregon Coast. Her dream was realized and she spent 20 years in Rockaway Beach, Oregon with her husband Kenneth Hicks. The coast was where she found peace and tranquility forming many lasting friendships. Her husband’s health brought them back to Donald, Oregon to be closer to family.
She is survived by husband Kenneth Hicks, daughters and sons-in-law, Lauri and (Steve) Morris, Cristi and (Mike) Phillips , son Ty Parker, step children, Ken Jr. and (Tammy) Hicks, and Dan Hicks. Grand Children and wives; Kory and Lauren Morris, Matt Morris, Chase and Kaitlin Dillon, Tanner Dillon, Vanessa and Derek Randall, Wade and Jaime Parker, Jade Parker. She leaves behind a legacy of love and 13 beautiful Great Grand Children who loved their Grandma GG.
Carol will be remembered as a Kind, tender, loving and strong woman. She was a survivor who came through to always see the good in humanity. She was a supportive wife, loving mother and loyal friend. She loved her family with all her heart and soul. She will be terribly missed but never forgotten.
