Brandi Kay Shafer's Obituary
On August 22, 2025, the world lost a bright and fiercely loving soul, Brandi Kay Shafer, at the age of 55. Born on April 27, 1970, in Oregon City, Oregon, to David and Donna Jennings, Brandi’s life began and came full circle in the place she always called home.
Brandi was a woman of strength, spirit, and deep devotion. She was never afraid to stand firm in what she believed, and she carried a protective love for her family and friends that could be felt in every part of her life. To know Brandi was to know loyalty, laughter, and a heart that gave endlessly to those she cared about.
She found joy in the simple things—time outdoors, camping beneath the stars, sowing and cross-stitching beautiful designs, caring for animals, and turning wrenches on cars. Her dream car, a Ford Bronco, was more than a hobby—it was a reflection of her determination and grit.
Above all, Brandi’s greatest treasures were her family. She was a proud mother to her four children—Nick, Jake, Lucas, and Kylie—and her love only grew deeper as she became “Grandma” to five grandchildren who filled her world with joy. She will be lovingly remembered through not only her children and grandchildren but her brother, Brett, and her uncle, Gary. Waiting to greet her in heaven are her parents, David and Donna, whose love shaped her from the very beginning and who's love now embraces her on the other side.
Brandi’s legacy is one of love, strength, and unwavering care. She will be remembered not only for the life she lived, but for the way she made others feel—protected, cherished, and deeply loved.
A celebration of Brandi’s life will be held on Sunday, September 7, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Clackamette Park in Oregon City, Oregon. All who knew and loved her are welcome to join in honoring her memory.
