Blake Charles Swearengin04/10/1963 - 02/16/2015Blake Charles Swearengin, of Vancouver, died unexpectedly from cardiac arrest on February 16, 2015, at the age of 51. Blake was born on April 10, 1963 in Portland, Oregon to Darlene G. Larson. Blake was a skilled self taught auto mechanic and an excellent cook who trained at a culinary school in Portland. Prior to his retirement due to disability, Blake worked for several auto shops, and eventually owned his own auto repair facility. Blake loved camping, swimming and listening to live music.Blake was an amazing father, grandfather, brother and uncle. He was most happy when spending time with family and friends. His very favorite times were when he was with his grandsons, Bob Webb and Billy Bruner. Blake is survived by daughter Ashley Askildson, son Hayden Swearengin, stepdaughter Tjauni Fultz, stepson Zach Fultz; sister Tracey Dudley and her husband Rodney and their daughter Jasmine; brother Glenn Swearengin and his wife Mina and his daughters Stephanie and Sophia; brother John Larson and his partner Mary and his children Erin, David, Brittney, McKenzie and Dillon and grandsons Tarren and Karter.A private celebration of life will be held for family and friends.
