Beatrice Ann Stellflug's Obituary
In Loving Memory of Beatrice Ann Stellflug
October 16, 1951 – November 15, 2023
Bea Stellflug passed away after a courageous multi-year journey with heart disease. Never giving up,
never giving in, fighting for her health each step of the way. She has been reunited with her parents,
Herman and Irene and her sister Susan.
Bea was a loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt and Friend to so many. Although, her heart as
she would often state, was “feeble”, it was absolutely mighty with love for her family and friends near
and far.
In life, she garnered many connections and lifelong friendships from her early schooling to her work life
and church families.
Bea’s earliest years were spent working many hours to help her family in high school after her father,
whom she adored had passed. Life eventually found her little family moving to Alaska where she worked
at the Fish and Game offices, working for the Lt. Governor, to the Alaska Legislature, and the public
school systems. Life changes found her moving to Oregon and gaining employment with Hewlett
Packard, and along the way garnering some amazing, forever friendships. New adventures were abound
as she found love and moved to Glasgow, where she again gained many more friendships that she
talked of often with fondness. Her home was always open and a place of gathering.
She had a sense of responsibility to make sure that those who she loved were safe and taken care of.
She always wanted the best for everyone and was so very proud of all her family and their
accomplishments. She made efforts to attend events whether it be a family gathering, to plentiful and
wide arrays of sporting events, band events, or events that involved horsing around. She was excited
that technology had the ability to bring her close, even in the times she couldn’t attend in person. She
always dressed for the occasion and loved the shopping and coordination of it, often you would hear,
dress for the occasion, dress for success. When she wasn’t doing the above and could step away, you
could find her in her happy place, the beach, especially during a good storm having a picnic in the car
watching God’s work in wonder.
She is survived by her loving husband, Rick, her children Troy (Jennifer), Leigh Ann (Jake), her
stepchildren Stacy (Kee), Justin (Michelle) her grandchildren Nelly, Andrew, Megan, Kristin, Erik, Flynn,
Mia, and Adisyn, her sister Kim, nieces Kara and Tina, as well as her many loved great nieces and
nephews.
A celebration of Bea’s life will take place at Immanuel Lutheran Church on Saturday, December 9th at
11:00 am, with a reception to follow.
