Anne Louise Braxmeyer's Obituary
Anne Louise Burton Braxmeyer, 97, of Wilsonville, Oregon, passed away peacefully on October 31, 2014 at Spring Ridge Court Memory Care. She was born April 18, 1917 in Portland, Oregon and was adopted by Fred and Pearl Burton as a baby. She graduated high school in Tillamook followed by one year at Oregon State and one year at Linfield. She met Ras Braxmeyer in Tillamook and they were married July 3, 1940 in Los Angeles, California. Following the war they moved back to Tillamook and raised their family. Ras and Anne moved to Milwaukie in 1969, Woodburn in 2002 and Wilsonville in 2008. Anne loved to play the piano, sing in the church choir but most of all care for her children and husband. She worked as a telephone operator retiring from Pacific N.W. Bell in 1980. Ras and Anne traveled with church friends to Hawaii, Mexico, Branson, Mo., and Alaska. Anne is survived by son Ron of Olympia, Washington, daughter Dianne (Marvin) Cunningham of Albany and son Tony (Sandi) of Aurora, six grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, sister-in-law Ann Kirkwood of Madras and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, grandson Jon in 1964, son Paul in 1995 and husband Ras in 2008. Services will be held at Christ the King Catholic Church in Milwaukie on Friday, November 14, 2014 at 2:00PM.
