Angelina Analise Stafford's Obituary
Angelina passed away at home on September 12th in beautiful Portland Oregon, overlooking the Willamette River as she had done for so many years before. She was born on August 28th, 1933 in Klagenfurt, Austria and is preceded in death by her husband, Gerry and brother Bruno. Angie is survived by her son Cornell, brothers Hans, Cees, Wouter and a numerous cast of loving nieces and nephews.
"Angie" in her youth, was an accomplished nightclub entertainer that skillfully knew how to control the room. She carried this forward with Hubby Gerry, as they would so often entertain their family and friends together during countless festivities with joyful singalongs. "Are there any more requests?"
And of course what would these festivities be without fabulous food to enjoy? In between the entertainment, Angie would be cooking up a storm in the kitchen. During the holidays, her and Gerry would be heading off to the turkey farm and pointing among the hundreds of gobblers saying, "I want that one right over there." And then there were her usual uncommon creations of fabulous snitchels, goulash, stuffed peppers and cabbage rolls with sauerkraut.
Angie and Gerry did everything together and were Snowbirds that enjoyed going to Florida in the winter. And during the summer months, they were avid boaters that loved cruising around Lake Simcoe in their 42’ Chris Craft and sprint up and down the locks at their cottage in Severn Falls. Angie loved life and all those around her.
"Mum. you will be in my thoughts and prayers every single day. I cannot put into words how much I will miss you but I know you are going to a place much better than here, where you will be treated like the angel you are."
A celebration of life will be held soon on a predetermined date in Newmarket Ontario and at her second home town of Vancouver, BC. I ask those close to us, to share their favorite photo and post their favorite memories of Angie on: http://www.waudsfuneralservice.com/
