Angela Marie Terwilliger's Obituary
Angela Marie Terwilliger, lovingly known to many as Angie, passed away peacefully in her sleep on March 6, 2026, in Oregon City, Oregon, at the age of 44 after lifelong complications from Vascular Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome.
Angela was born June 17, 1981, in Roseburg, Oregon, to Ron Terwilliger and Lydia Terwilliger. From the beginning, Angie had a spirit that was impossible to ignore—stubborn, strong, and incredibly funny. She carried a warmth and humor that could light up any room, and her laughter was something those who loved her will never forget.
Diagnosed with Vascular Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome at the age of 19, Angie faced more challenges in her life than most ever will. Yet through every hardship, she met the world with strength, kindness, and a smile. She rarely complained about her illness and instead chose to live with courage, resilience, and a sense of humor that carried her through even the hardest days.
Angie loved the simple joys in life. She enjoyed riding horses, traveling, gardening, sewing, and cooking. She had a soft spot for 90s country music and could often be found watching her favorite show, Grey’s Anatomy. Her fiery red hair, freckles, and spunky personality made her unforgettable, but it was her fierce loyalty, kindness, and the way she loved her family and friends that truly defined her. Though she did not have biological children, Angie held a special place in her heart for her stepdaughter, Tehya, and treasured the role she played in her life.
Angela is survived by her mother and stepfather, Lydia and Steve Ouellette; her siblings Sara (Carlos), Ron, Trina, Tina (Deb), Niki (Larry), Anthony, and Erica; her grandmother Maxine Zomerdyk; her nephews Jacob and Dominick; and her nieces Justice, Mariah, and Sophia. She is also remembered by countless aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who were lucky enough to know her. She was preceded in death by her father, Ron Terwilliger; her grandfather Antonious Zomerdyk; her grandparents Verne and Clara Terwilliger; and her nephew Joshua Lauritzen.
Angie loved a good road trip and lived life with a spirit that was tiny but fierce. Her strength, humor, and love left a lasting mark on everyone she met.
A celebration of Angela’s life will be held July 11, 2026, beginning at noon at the Rod and Gun Club in Roseburg, Oregon. Friends and family are invited to bring their favorite dish and spend the day together sharing stories and memories in her honor. Angela fought hard, loved deeply, and left the world brighter.
