Alfred George Wetzel, Sr, age 91, passed peacefully Friday, May 19, 2023. He was born April 3rd, 1932, and raised in Oregon City, OR.
Alfred attended McLoughlin Grade School and Oregon City High School. He worked as a logger, metal fabricator, warehouseman and farmer.
Beloved husband of Joyce Darleen (Herbst) Wetzel, Loving father of Debra (Thomas) Schaffer, Diana Hertel, Donna (Timothy) Fidler, Alfred Wetzel, Jr. (dec’d) and Mary Anderson (dec’d {Kevin}) as well as nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Philip Benizi Catholic Church, Oregon City, Oregon on June 12th, 2023. The Rosary will be said at 10:30AM with Mass following at 11:00AM. Burial will be at St. John’s Cemetery, Oregon City, Oregon.
