Alexander Estoup's Obituary
Alexander Michael Estoup, our bright, brilliant, burst of light passed into his loving Lord’s arms December 1, 2025 at OHSU in Portland Oregon. He was 35.
Alex was born to Michael Warren and Janet Kay (Wiedrich) Estoup in Portland, Oregon on October 2, 1990 and was raised in Beaverton, Oregon where he resided when he passed. As a child, he loved playing with his big sister, Ashley and little brother, Aaron. Digging in the dirt, riding anything with wheels, playing with his Tonka trucks and enjoying any adventure the three of them dreamt up. A student of the Beaverton School district, Alex graduated from Southridge High School in 2009. Alex was fearless. He bungee jumped at the age of 10. Loved roller coasters…the bigger and crazier the better!! He was a risk taker, living life to the fullest. While in school, Alex played soccer and began wrestling. He loved both those sports and was a fierce competitor. Some of the friendships he found in High School are still shining bright today. Those friendships are fierce, loyal and loving. Alex was always up for an adventure. Either with his siblings, or with his friends….it didn’t matter he was ready. His laughter was infectious. A deep throated robust laugh that rang through everything. His smile lit up a room. He has been described by the ones who loved him as: loyal, funny, quirky, joyful, devoted, determined, sometimes impulsive, but always always a great friend and brother, a great man.
Beginning a job at Les Schwab after high school graduation in the fall of 2009, Alex began a journey of personal growth. He worked hard, took pride in being a valued employee and also expanded his circle of friends. He blossomed. In 2018, Alex decided to change his career path and began working at Trimet in Portland. Alex purchased a home and recently a beautiful brand new car. He was so proud of those accomplishments. Again…at Trimet Alex expanded his friendship circle once again. Never ever leaving anyone behind...just expanding his tribe.
Alex loved his family and friends and spending time with them. His most cherished times were those spent camping with his buddies at the beach, hiking anywhere, rafting, playing Xbox, watching football and Oregon State baseball. Being outside brought him such joy. Alex’s favorite holiday wasn’t Christmas…it was the Fourth of July!!! He looked forward to it every year for weeks! Prepared for it, planned for it, bugging his Dad to schedule a time when they would visit the Indian Reservation to go shopping. He was like the fireworks on the Fourth…a bright, brilliant, shining light in our lives. Being with friends and family, enjoying everything he loved was the icing on the cake.
In the past year, Alex dove deeper in the faith and love of God that had been instilled in him as a child. He spent time in prayer with friends and spent time reading the word of God.
Alex is remembered and cherished by his parents, Michael and Janet Estoup. They will love and miss him forever. He is also survived by his sister Ashley Christine Estoup and fiancé Remington Teekell, his brother Aaron Richard Estoup and wife Carling Leon Estoup and their daughter Zara Carling. Also carrying his memory with love are his Grandmother Barbara Estoup and multiple aunts, uncles and a large extended family that includes all of his dear friends. Alex’s light and joy will remain in all of our hearts forever.
He was welcomed into eternal life by his Grandparents Benjamin and Irene Wiedrich and Grandfather Robert Estoup.
