Rob Dryer
I am sad to hear of Als passing. We knew each other through the trade. I first met Al when he was shop-boy at Dryer&Sons in the early 60s. After he left the shop I didnt see him again until 1999 when he showed up on the job to work with us on The Trails End Shopping Center. It was a comfort having him on such a tough project. His personality and knowledge allowed him to fill the room. With his smile he let you see his warm sole. The last time we ran into each other was at Happy Restaurant in Gladstone a few years before they closed. He walked up to our table and introduced himself to my mother and wanted to tell her how much it meant to him that she and the family at the shop had always been so kind to him. He was so kind. Liking him was so easy to do. Thank you for sharing him with us as long as you did.
