William Lee Kraig

May 11, 1947 - June 25, 2014

William Lee Kraig, born 5/11/47 passed away on 6/25/14 after a courageous battle with cancer. Bill is survived by his wife of 46 years Joan, a son Jason, daughter-in-law Marquie, two grandsons Jordan and Taylor, his brother Joe and his wife Betty, and their two children Daniel and Tami, his sister Cindy and husband Eric Wyatt along with their two children Daniel and Janelle. Bill grew up in Manitou Springs Colorado, before coming to Oregon in 1989. He was an Eagle Scout prior to attending Southern Colorado University, then later drafted into the United States Navy where he served on the USS Bennington which retrieved the Apollo space capsule. After 30 years with AT&T/Lucent, Bill retired and spent the next 13 years working for Service Communications where he finally retired for good. Bill was a quiet man, with a surprising sense of humor, who would do anything for anyone. He will be dearly missed by his family, friends, and anyone who knew him.
