Vivian Marie Warmbrodt

Obituary For Vivian Marie Warmbrodt Nov. 9th 1927- March 16th 2014 Vivian Marie Warmbrodt, age 87 of Seaside Oregon, went to be with our Creator on Sunday March 16th. She passed away at Seaside Providence Extended Care Center. Vivian was a very devoted Christian and belonged to the Tri City Baptist Temple in Gladstone, Oregon for the last 35 years. Vivian was born in High Point, North Carolina on Nov. 9th 1927, she was the daughter of Robert Lee Canada and Lena Belle Talley of Elon College, North Carolina. In 1949 she moved with her 2 young daughters Dona, and Robin to the Pacific Northwest where she met her life long mate Philip R. Warmbrodt Sr. who was stationed at Tongue Point Naval Base in Astoria, Oregon. There they had their 1st daughter Marion who was born at Tongue Point Naval Hospital in 1950. After discharge from the Navy in 1951 they relocated 30 miles upriver to Cathelamet, Washington where their only son was born, Philip Jr. in 1951. They raised their 4 children in Cathelamet Wa. for the next 14 years. Vivian was always a mother and home maker her entire life. Phil Sr. and Vivian returned to the Astoria-Seaside area in 1965. In the early 1980's they moved to the Portland Metro area. She returned to Seaside in May of 2013 to be near her son Phil Jr. during her final months. But her love for the Coast was always home to her. She is preceded by her loving Husband Philip Sr, daughter Robin Carol Huhtala ( Longview Wa.) grandsons Kelly Ray Wohl and Todd Allen Milbradt ( both of Longview Wa. ). She is survived by her children Philip R. Warmbrodt Jr. and his wife Cassie Sweeney ( Seaside ) Dona Marie Stacy ( Tacoma Wa. ) Marion Hope Chance and Husband Don ( Enid OK ). 9 grandchildren including Scheris Warmbrodt Schuring ( Seattle ) and Nick Warmbrodt ( Seaside ) and Gabrelle Warmbrodt ( Portland ), 15 great grandchildren, and a great great grandson. Her sister Dorothy Knight ( Longview Wa.) nieces Scheris Shephard ( Scottsdale AZ. ) and Joyce Knight (Oklahoma City. ) cousins Sandra Talley Watson, Margaret Talley Ward, Betty Knight Carmichael all of ( North Carolina ), and twins Margaret Talley, and Lillian Talley Grimes of ( Los Angeles, Ca ). She will be laid to rest next to her Husband Philip Sr. at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland Oregon. A private family memorial will be held. The family would like to thank the wonderful people at Susanne Elise Care Center, Providence Seaside Extended Care of Seaside Oregon and Lower Columbia Hospice in Astoria, Oregon for the most loving care and unbelievable comfort they provided Vivian in her final months of her life.
