Timothy Ira Dungey
April 18, 1958 - February 22, 2020
Timothy "Tim" Ira Dungey was born in Oregon City, Oregon to Victor and Arliss Dungey on April 18, 1958. He passed on February 22, 2020 after valiantly battling cancer. He is survived by his beloved children Emily, Matthew, and Eric, brothers Richard and Larry, sisters Karen and Barbara, and brother-in-law Dick, Butch, and sisters-in-laws Sharel, Lea, and Mitzi as well as many nephews, nieces and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and his younger brother, Jay. Tim grew up in the Willamette area of West Linn, where he was a 3 sport varsity athlete at West Linn High School; football, basketball, and baseball. Tim graduated from Portland State University and enjoyed a long career as a sales executive in the healthcare industry. A talented high school and collegiate athlete, Tim parlayed his love of sports into a lifelong involvement in coaching. He coached all 3 children's teams in basketball from elementary school through junior high school. He was an active leader in both youth and high school football programs for the Lakeridge community in Lake Oswego where he lived for most of his adult life. He was loved and will be missed by many. A private burial is planned. All are welcome to join the family in a Celebration of Life on Saturday, April 11, 2020 at noon at Athey Creek Christian Fellowship located at 2700 SW Ek Road, West Linn 97068.
