Sharon Ann Solem
July 16, 1945 - April 25, 2022
Sharon Ann Solem died peacefully in her Milwaukie home surrounded by her beloved husband Phil Solem and devoted children. Sharon was born in Bloomfield, Nebraska on July 16, 1945 to Dorothy and Harold Tennant. She was raised in the small town of Wilimina, Oregon and had many fond memories of her family. Sharon would often recall that she could be a “little stinker” of a child while playing in the creek, exploring the countryside, and meandering down dusty roads. These early childhood experiences shaped her spirit and love for the country which she carried throughout her life. When she was a teenager her family moved to Oregon City where she met some of her dearest lifelong friends. In 1968 She married Phil Solem and together they raised four children. Sharon worked at the Bob’s Red Mill for a number of years until her retirement in 1994. Sharon was happiest when she was with her family or working in her garden, planting flowers, harvesting vegetables, and tending to her chickens. Sharon is survived by her beloved husband Phil Solem, devoted children Jeff (Debbie) Solem, Mike (Tera) Solem, Katie Solem Martenson, and Steve (Amelia) Solem, twelve loving grandchildren, and seven precious great grandchildren.
