Roger Dean Parsell

April 8, 1958 - July 6, 2019

Roger D. Parsell, 61 of Oregon City passed away suddenly July 6, 2019. Roger was born in The Dalles, Oregon to Howard and Teola Parsell. As a young boy he moved to Clackamas and finally to Oregon City. He graduated from Oregon City High School  and then ventured on to Michigan where he met his future wife of almost 39 years, Jo Ann. Together they moved back to Oregon where they raised their 2 boys. Roger was a tooling technician at Orchid Orthopedic Solutions in Oregon City for 34 years. He enjoyed doing leather work and making and refurbishing knives which he gifted to family and friends. Roger is survived by his wife, Jo Ann; sons Matthew and wife Lindsey of Arvada, Colorado and Benjamin of Oregon City; granddaughters, Olive and June Parsell; brother Michael and wife Leony of San Diego, California; mother-in-law Ruth Schwartz; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Wayne and Tammy Schwartz, Elaine Schwartz, Joe and Wendy Schwartz, Mary and Ron Graves all of Michigan and many nieces and nephews. Roger was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Teola Parsell; brothers-in-law Gerald Schwartz and James Schwartz.
