Richard "Butch" Dean Kendall

November 26, 1938 - January 30, 2018

Dick Kendall graduated from Oregon City High School Class of 1957. Served in the Navy from 1958 to 1962. He was stationed in Turkey and worked in the office.  He was a 58 year member of BPOE 1189 Oregon City and was the bookkeeper and Treasurer for 30 years. Was also a 36 year member of the Canby Legion post #122. He was an avid bowler, golfer, played slow pitch softball, and coached baseball after high school.  He worked as a traveling bank auditor with First National Bank, then he drove beer truck Stein Distributing, prior to working at the Elks. He retired from the Elks in 2017.  He is survived by his daughters Susan Allen, Milwaukie, Laura Benzon New Plymouth ID, Grandsons, Pela Benzon, Ben Benzon and Sheldon Benzon, Great Grandsons Blake Benzon and Aaryn Benzon. Donna Beecham longtime campanion. He is  also survived by his siblings, Betty Faist (Larry), Beverly Laughman, Sandy Garvin, Jim Kendall (Cheryl), Tom Kendall (Joyce), David Kendall (Sally) and numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.  He was the 9th child of 15 to Lloyde and Beverly Kendall. Preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Jean, Pat, Bob, Clyde, Darlene, Charlie, Dennis, and Ron.  Family Graveside at Willamette National Thursday February 8th at 10:30.  Celebration of Life Sunday February 11th at the Oregon City Elks Ballroom 2 pm In lieu of flowers donations to Milwaukie Senior Center Meals on Wheels or Oregon City Elks Scholarship fund
