Paul Eugene Brown April 2, 1944 - July 8, 2016 Paul Brown, beloved husband, father, papa, friend, and insurance claims adjuster, passed away peacefully in his West Linn home on Friday, July 8th.  He showed great courage and strong will during his struggle through open-heart surgery and cancer.  He was born in Sunnyside, WA, and raised by his loving parents, Ralph and Lois Brown.  He proudly graduated from Roseburg High School in 1963.  As the first member of his family to graduate from college, he graduated from Southern Oregon College with a B.S. in Business.  He worked many years for Kemper Insurance, and even climbed Mt. Hood with his co-workers. He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Linda;  children, Cathy and Rob Van Winkle, Shaun Brown, and Lori Jordan Brown; and five beautiful grandchildren.  He is survived by three loving sisters, and many nieces and nephews.  To all who knew him, he made a lasting impact on their lives.  He loved to camp, hike, kayak, cook, picnic and travel with his friends and family.  He was quiet, but always kind and encouraging to everyone.  In his spare time, he loved to work in the shop he designed and built himself.  He enjoyed keeping busy with little projects around the house and yard.  He also loved to travel around Oregon on his motorcycle. A memorial and celebration of life will be held on Sunday, July 17th, 3:00, at New Life Church, 1984 McKillican St., West Linn, OR, 97068.
