Mildred F Stevens

June 5, 1929 - August 19, 2015

Mildred F. (Dietrich) Stevens passed away peacefully on August 19th, 2015.  She was born June 5th, 1929 in Oregon City, Oregon to Henry and Lena Dietrich.  Raised in Willamette and Milwaukie, Oregon, she graduated from Milwaukie High School.  She married Steve Stevens who proceeded her in death in 1982.  Mildred retired from the Oregon Liquor Control Commission after more than 20 years of service.  After retirement, she enjoyed volunteering through the Milwaukie Center, providing transportation to seniors for medical appointments.  Donations can be made in her name to Oregon Health Sciences University for cancer research. As someone once wrote of her character, "When things go wrong, your sense of humor helps you to meet them with a smile."  We will forever miss that smile and easy going nature.  Honoring Mildred's wishes there will be no public service.
