Jon Vincent Bliley

November 20, 2016 - January 16, 2016

Jon Vincent Bliley 11/20/1958 - 1/16/2016 Jon was born in Portland, the sixth of seven children, to Ruth and Vince Bliley on November 20th, 1958.  He attended St. John's and Redland schools as a child.  It was Estacada high school where he met the love of his life, Tamara Hartwig.  Jon realized early on that he wanted and needed to build useful items.  Jon worked many jobs including bartender, waiter, wedding photographer, limo driver, apartment manager, and finally a Tri Met bus operator for the last 24 years.  Jon loved people and enjoyed making them laugh.   His hobbies were to build things including his famous birdhouses treasured by many of his neighbors and friends.  He spent many hours working on his fire truck and Batmobile and several robot sculptures. Jon is survived by his wife of 32 years, Tamara, his son Benjamin (and his girlfriend Dayna Baldridge), his brothers Mike and Paul, sister Mary Kay Bliley, sisters in law Vickie Thun (Mike) and Norma Bliley and his brothers in law Richard Hartwig (Peggy) and Steve Hartwig, and several nieces and nephews. A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, January 24, 2016 at 2PM at Holman-Hankins-Bowker & Waud.  Please feel free to come and celebrate Jon's life.
