James Allen Pusieski

August 8, 1958 - March 16, 2022

James Allen Pusieski 8-8-1958 to 3-16-2022 Born on August 8, 1958 in Oxnard, California to Joseph Robert Pusieski and Patricia Marie Tompkins Pusieski. He died on March 16, 2022 at Willamette Falls Hospital in Oregon City, Oregon. Jim graduated from Canby Union High School in 1976 and started his Naval Career later that year. He was stationed at Okinawa, Japan for 18 months and then stationed at Adak, Alaska for 18 months. He continued with the Navy Reserves until December 2000. Jim went to Corvallis, Oregon where he earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration. After graduating, he accepted a position with the Internal Revenue Service in Ogden, Utah where he worked in Customer Service. He was transferred to Portland, Oregon where he went on to become a Bankruptcy Officer, a Revenue Officer, and finally an Advisor. During his time at the IRS, he became a teacher and a coach to newly hired Revenue Officers. While at Ogden, Utah, Jim studied for and earned his Master’s Degree in Business Administration with the University of Phoenix. When Jim wasn’t working for the IRS or doing his yearly reserve training, he had a part time job with Incredible Universe and then Fry’s Electronics in Wilsonville, Oregon. Jim was diagnosed with Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis and Hypersensitivity Pneumonitis in 2019. The doctor at the time gave Jim a prognosis of 5 years to live. Unfortunately, the disease progressed rapidly the last 5 months of his life. He died from Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis, Hypersensitivity Pneumonitis and Congestive Heart Failure. He is preceded in death by his parents Joseph Pusieski and Patricia Pusieski. He is survived by his wife of 43 years Diane Kleczynski Pusieski, his daughter Eva and his son Robert. He is also survived by his brother Stan (Ann) Pusieski, his sisters Paula (Lou) Miller, Maribeth Pusieski; his nephew Jonathan (Kelly) Miller, niece Jennifer (DJ) Wiza, and nephews Samuel (Alyssa) McEvoy and Nicolas McEvoy. He will be cremated and interred at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland, Oregon. A memorial service will be held later for close family and friends.
