Irene Frances Fisher December 22, 1939 - November 24, 2019 (age 79)   Irene Frances Fisher, 79, passed peacefully the morning of Sunday, November 24, 2019, at her home in Oregon City, surrounded by her loved ones after a long and courageous battle with Alzheimer's. Irene was born in Beaverton, Oregon on December 22, 1939, to Arthur and Mary VanDomelen. She attended St. John the Apostle Catholic School before graduating from West Linn High School in 1958. It was there she met the love of her life, Ronald Fisher. After she graduated, they were married at St. John the Apostle Catholic Church (the same church her parents were married in 1925). She worked at Kent and Snow (later changing to Kent, Kuykendall & Co.) until retirement.  Irene devoted her life to raising her five children and spending time with her grandchildren. Her family meant everything to her. Some of her fondest memories were those traveling... Europe, Hawaii, the Caribbean, the beach, Timothy Lake or packing up the camper/motorhome for the next adventure to name just a few. She also loved to garden, resulting in a back yard that looked like a park. Irene is remembered as someone with a huge heart and a warm smile. Irene was preceded in death by her husband, parents and three sisters. She is survived by her five children; Debora Nelson, Robert Fisher, Susan Myers, Linda Schaefer and Katherine Campanella as well as 13 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. A rosary will be recited at 11:00am, with funeral Mass at 11:30am followed by a reception at the parish hall on Friday, December 6, 2019, at St. John the Apostle Catholic Church: 417 Washington St, Oregon City, OR 97045. Interment will follow at St. John's Cemetery.
