Florence Frances Chambers

OBITUARY - FLORENCE FRANCES CHAMBERS FEBRUARY 28, 1927 - JANUARY 5, 2017 Florence was the youngest of 11 children born to Floryan Palacz and Constantia Chrapkowski Palacz at St. Paul, Nebraska.   Florence lost her mother at the age of 9 and later moved with her older siblings to Washington and then Oregon.  Florence married Irvan H. (Pete) Chambers March 31, 1951.  They were married 54 years at his death in 2005 and lived in Gladstone for most of those years.  Florence was a homemaker and stay at home Mom to her son Mark.  Florence enjoyed cooking, canning and baking and will be remembered for her wonderful apple pies and applesauce.  She will also be remembered for her gentle, loving, caring presence.  Florence and her family were long time members of St. John the Apostle Catholic Church in Oregon City where services will be held on January 20, 2017.  Rosary will be at 10:30 a.m., with Mass following at 11:00 a.m.  Surviving are her son Mark, grandson Grant and many nieces and nephews. Florence was pre-deceased by her parents, her husband Pete and 6 sisters and 4 brothers.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Oregon Alzheimer's Association, 1650 NW Naito Pkwy #190, Portland, OR 97209.  There is also a memorial page online at http://www.alz.org/ where donations can be made.
