Elaine Margaret Ritschard

March 11, 1927 - January 30, 2019

Elaine Margaret Ritschard, 91, of Gladstone passed away peacefully at her home on January 30, 2019.  Elaine was born in Portland, Oregon on March 11, 1927 and grew up in Gresham Oregon, graduating GHS in 1945.  She met her future husband, Rudy, in high school and they later married in 1948 after Elaine graduated from the Emanuel School of Nursing in Portland.  Working as an RN for over 30 years, Elaine and Rudy raised their family in Portland. Elaine's interests included family camping trips, hunting, sketching,  painting, writing poetry, baking Swiss cookies and spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.  After retirement, Elaine and Rudy moved to Central Oregon and realized their dreams by establishing a 200-acre ranch.  In later years, they came back to East County and enjoyed attending their grandchildren's many athletic events and activities.  Elaine was preceded in death by her husband Rudy, her son Bruce and her brother Ken Cook.  She is survived by her children, Heidi Campbell, Brad (Carolyn), Christopher (Rosalynn), and daughter Suzanne LeBaron (Ed). Elaine has 11 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. Elaine's celebration of life will be held at Gladstone Christian Church on Tuesday, February 5th, at 1:00pm.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Sunshine Division or to Gladstone Christian Church where she as a member.
