Donna Marie Dickenson

April 29, 1956 - December 22, 2015

Donna Marie Dickenson passed away quietly at her home in Oregon City on December 22, 2015. Surrounded by love from her family, friends, and caregivers, Donna was peaceful with the look of an angel at the moment of her death. Donna was 59 years old with Down Syndrome, and lived a life of innocence, bringing joy to all those around her. Donna was a long time resident of Matthew House, a group home for medically fragile developmentally disabled adults managed by Edwards Center, Inc. of Aloha, Oregon. Miss Dickenson was born in Mountain View, California on April 29, 1956 to LaVerne S. Kossler, and Charles B. Dickenson. She is survived by her mother LaVerne, and sisters Deborah M. (Russell) Menenberg and Judith A. (Jerry) Ackaret , her nieces Emily M. Cummins and Brianna D. Ackaret. She is also survived by her aunts Rose McFadden and Virginia Allen, and many cousins. She was predeceased by her father, and step-father Roland W. Will. She was laid to rest at St. Anthony's Catholic Cemetery in Tigard, Oregon, Saturday, December 26, 2015 at 12:00 noon. The graveside service was officiated by Father Maxy D'Costa from St. John the Apostle Church of Oregon City. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Donna Dickenson Memorial Fund, Edwards Center, Inc., P.O. Box 6269, Aloha, Oregon 97007. All funds will go directly to the Matthew House in Donna's memory.
