On Tuesday, April 9, 2019, Calvin Timothy Westhusing passed away at the age of 68. Cal was one of seven children born to Donald and Margaret Westhusing on December 24, 1950, both of whom preceded him in death. Cal was the proud father of two wonderful grown sons, Ryan and Andrew, both of Portland. Cal had shared the past 26 years of his life with Jerine Burgard, who met originally when both were still in their teens. Cal had a varied and interesting work history; he worked as a logger, clearing what would become Mt. Hood's Skibowl, he worked on tug boats on the Columbia River, sold real estate for a few years and spent many years in various capacities, working for companies who specialized in underground utilities and paving. His most recent employer was S-2 Contractors in Canby, Oregon. A Funeral Mass will be held for Cal on Friday, May 17th at 11:00 AM at Ascension Catholic Church, 743 SE 76th Avenue in Portland, Oregon. Cal's ready smile and outgoing personality will be missed by all who knew him.
