Constance Rolene (Meehl) Kluever

Constance Rolene Kluever, age 77, of Oregon City, passed away after a long battle

with cancer in the early hours of October 10, 2018. Constance Kluever, born

Constance Meehl, was born to Michael and Ruth (Anderson) Meehl on February 12,

1941 in Oakes North Dakota. She married Gary Kluever December 13, 1961 in

Aberdeen South Dakota. Constance spent most of her life as a homemaker. She was

an active volunteer in Hospice and home health. She was very involved in several

quilting groups, hand quilting them for several church organizations. She was

involved in local senior centers teaching them how to make donuts and other tasty

desserts. She was very involved in the Catholic Church as well as serving the

community.  Her family knew her as a wonderful gardener and excellent cook. She

loved growing peonies, daisies, bee balm and hydrangeas that were the delight of the

neighborhood. She was an excellent cook and made the best pies along with melt-in-

your-mouth cinnamon rolls. She and Gary loved to travel with many trips to the

Oregon Coast, Alaska, New Mexico, Arizona and Sweden. Spending time with her

grandchildren was a highlight for her and Gary. They did many outings to the

Clackamas river, Ochoco Mountains and hiking/camping around the Pacific NW.

Constance is survived by her husband; Gary Kluever; 3 children; Julie Wilson

(Micheal), Gregory Kluever (Melanie), Kristina Hattan; 6 grandchildren; Amanda

Lauderbach (Stefan), Andrew Kluever, Chelsea Hattan, Benjamin Wilson, Michaela

Hattan, Nicholas Wilson; and 1 great-grandchild; Damien Lauderbach.  She is also

survived by her siblings; Robert Meehl, Laurence (Tony) Meehl, Harold (Gus) Meehl,

and Janice Iverson. She was preceded in death by both her parents, Michael and

Ruth Meehl; siblings Stanley Anderson, Kenneth Meehl, Blanche Fiala, Doris Fiala,

and Grace Nelson. Funeral will be held at St. Philip Benizi Catholic Church in Redland

Oregon on October 17th  2018. Viewing at 10:00am; Rosary at 10:30am; Funeral

Service at 11:00am; Reception at 12:00pm and final burial at 1:30pm at the Redland
